October Full Moon - Hunter's Moon

Full moons represent a period of completeness. There can be mystical and magical phenomena around full moons. Every month the full moon moves into a new astrology sign and house. This full moon on October 14th, is in the cardinal sign of Aries which is ruled by the planet Mars. The planet, Mars, is indicative of how one faces their anger and how stress affects us. We find this full moon in Aries in the 3rd house which is the house of communications, transportation and self expression. In mundane astrology which is application of astrology to world affairs and world events, it could be a period of wild fires or plane crashes. It could be a period of some kind of upheaval around the world when it comes to terrorism. The planet Mars in astrology represents the god of war and defender of his people - representing our desires to get closer to our collective conscientiousness.

Native Americans call this moon October - Hunter's Moon, Moon of Falling Leaves. This is a good time for us to become more compassionate of our fellow man; to come together as you would around a circle in a camp fire. Aries personalities draw attention because they have high spirits, great enthusiasm, and are honest and open. The astrological sign of Aries is a ram - consider this energy force and enthusiasm by accomplishing your goals and ram yourself to success. Think of a full moon in Aries where there can be produced a lot of radiant, vitalizing energy that you can capitalize on for your personal growth.
During this full moon in Aries you should pay attention to your respiratory ailments and nervous system if you have any weaknesses there.

This is a period to take time out and reflect on your inner growth by initiating something or becoming enterprising. Aries energy means it's a good time to be creative in the sense of causing things to begin. It's all about enthusiasm and taking that energy and running with it - like a football player who is running towards his goal without anyone near him to tackle him down.

Do be careful around this full moon because people do have a tendency to be more argumentative with you and vice versa.

Today we celebrate Mabon, the Autumn Exquinox. Today we celebrate the balance between light and dark, we look with gratitude and thankjfulness at our harvest for the yesr and we know that the dark time of year, the introspective and contemplative time of the year is now upon us.

I wish everyone a very blessed Mabon, and very bountiful harvest. I am grateful for all the Tradition gives me and has brought me this yea, and look forward to celebrating more special days with my POTWO family.

Craft of the Witch Learning & Lecture Series

Everyone is gearing up to go back to school --
At the Path of the Wise Ones Tradition !

 

Are you looking to develop your skills as a witch or pagan?

Is there a specific skill you would like to develop or class that you would like to take that is not yet being offered?

Do you want to take just one or two specific classes and not commit to an entire curriculum?

Are you looking to meet kindred spirits for 90 minutes of mirth, merriment and magic?

The join us for our new
Craft of the Witch Learning& Lecture Series!

 

The series features one practical magic class offered monthly for Tradition members and friends.

Classes will cover a variety of topics to include:

  • How to make your own wand
  • How to make your own candles
  • The basics of spellcraft
  • The basics of creating rituals
  • Candle magic
  • Moon phases and magic
  • Tarot basics
  • And much more!
Classes will be held on the third Saturday of every month, and will be conducted via voice chats on Skype.

Classes will be given by members of the Tradition council, and other members of the Tradition who are experienced witches and pagans and wish to share their knowledge with others.
